Did you know, musician Bappi Lahiri was Kishore Kumar's nephew in relation, and there was a lot of affection between the two, and there was a guru-shishya relationship between the two. The combo, who is a guru-shishya, a friend-man, and an uncle-nephew, has given Bollywood many great tunes. Kishore Kumar was the one responsible for Bappi's debut into Bollywood.
In an interview, Bappi Lahiri stated, "I worked in a comedy film called 'Badhti Ka Naam Dadhi' when I was 20 years old. Kishore Kumar, the producer-director, was my uncle. I had a little role in that picture. So Kishore Kumar said, "I believe you can work in the film," and I answered, "I can't speak Hindi correctly, so how can I work here?" Bappi did not perform again after that, instead, he started devoting his life to writing great songs for Bollywood.

After the release of Bappi Lahiri's "Disco Dancer" song, it was only his pockets that were being filled in the industry and some people who were jealous of this success started to boycott Bappi Lahiri in Bollywood. Bappi Lahiri passed away today i.e. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at a hospital in Mumbai. He was 69 years old. Bappi Lahiri is most known for singing popular songs in films from the early 1970s through the 1980s, including 'Chalte Chalte,' 'Disco Dancer,' and 'Sharabi.' His most recent Bollywood song, 'Bhankus,' was written for the 2020 film 'Baaghi 3'.
