Lucknow: A case has been registered against Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg over an alleged post via Facebook against Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. Moreover, 48 other people have also been accused in the case.

Reportedly, the FIR was lodged by Amit Yadav against Zuckerberg and 48 others for making cartoons of Akhilesh Yadav on the Facebook page in the name of ‘Bua-Babua’, tarnishing his image.

The term ‘Bua-Babua’ was used by a political rival when Akhilesh Yadav and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati joined hands for the Parliamentary election in 2019.

As per the police report, the name of Zuckerberg later has been removed and further action is being taken against the Facebook page administrator.

“During the investigation, Zuckerberg’s name was removed even as investigation is being carried out against the Facebook page administrator,” said a police official.

On May 25, Kumar had sent an application to the Superintendent of Police but his application fell on deaf ears. Following this, he went to court and demanded that a case be registered against the Facebook page’s admin and the CEO Zuckerberg.
