Guwahati: In the latest development, Assam police managed to track another illegal liquor trade in the region. 

Kamrup police stated that they started a drive against illicit and illegal Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) trade in the state.

On Tuesday, the Kamrup police team led by Officer in Charge Chaygaon conducted a raid at Kalitapara, Goroimar, Assam.

A tweet shared by Kamrup Police Twitter handle read, "In continuation of our drives against illicit and illegal IMFL, yesterday a Kamrup Police team led by OC Chaygaon, conducted a raid at Kalitapara, Goroimari. We have- Recovered huge quantity of Arunachal made illegal IMFL. Apprehended one person."

The team of Kamrup police arrested one person in connection with the trade of illegal Arunachal-made foreign liquor. 

Multiple raids were conducted by Kamrup Metro Excise Department in the region on the very day. A joint raid conducted by Assam police and Excise Department seized a huge quantity of illicit IMFL from Pandu Bazar area, Guwahati and Fatasil Ambari area, Guwahati.
