Digital Desk: Following the 'Pran Pratishtha' ritual at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi broke his 11-day fast on Monday.

When Govind Dev Giri Maharaj fed him "Charanamrit," a sweet drink prepared with milk used for rituals, he broke his fast.

PM Modi's commitment was also commended by Govind Dev Giri Maharaj for finishing his 11-day rites with success.

On January 12, Prime Minister Modi declared he would begin an 11-day special ceremony that would go until Ram Lalla's consecration in Ayodhya. The Prime Minister said he was lucky to be present at what he called a "historic" and "auspicious" event in an audio message that was uploaded on his official YouTube page.

"The Ram temple's 'Pran Pratishtha' has just 11 days remaining. I was made by God to stand in for the Indian people at the consecration. In light of this, I am initiating a unique ceremony that will last for 11 days," he stated in the audio message.

After PM Modi conducted the 'Pran Pratishtha' rite earlier today, the face of Ram Lalla was made public. Seen here with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwant by his side, he entered the Ram temple's sanctum sanctorum and proceeded with the consecration process.
