This is Mumbai's second threat call in less than a week. 

Digital Desk: Police in Mumbai have been put on high alert after receiving a threat call from someone threatening to carry out a terror attack in the city. Following the threat alert, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and several cities in Maharashtra were placed on high alert.

According to officials, the caller identified himself as Irfan Ahmed Sheikh, a member of the terror organisation Indian Mujahideen. Meanwhile, a case has been opened, and additional investigations are underway.

This is Mumbai's second threat call in less than a week. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) received an email a few days ago from an unidentified individual claiming to be a Talibani member and threatening to carry out a terror attack in Mumbai.

In January, Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai received a phone call from an unknown caller who threatened to blow up the school. The caller claimed that a time bomb had been planted at the school.
 
In October of last year, a similar call was received informing about the bombs planted throughout the city. Mumbai police received a'suspicious' call from an unknown caller informing them that bombs had been planted in several key locations throughout the city.
