Digital Desk: Virat Kohli stepped down as the Test captain after playing the series defeat against South Africa on Saturday. The Indian cricketer Virat Kohli took to his Twitter to announce the news. He had taken over the responsibility in 2014. As a result, Kohli stepped down from the post as India's most successful Test captain. Kohli led India in 68 contests and has been the most thriving captain with 40 victories. "It's been 7 years of hard work, toil and relentless perseverance every day to take the team in the right direction. I've done the job with absolute honesty and left nothing out there. But, everything has to come to a halt at some stage, and for me as Test Captain of India, it's now," Kholi said in his post.
