Srinagar: A couple in Jammu & Kashmir allegedly abandoned their two month old baby boy after he tested positive for Covid-19. The baby breathed his last in the hospital after suffering cardiac arrest induced by the contagion.

The baby was admitted to the Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh Hospital in Jammu. The parents of the two-month-old baby fled the hospital after they learned that he was Covid positive.

The doctors asked the parents to undergo Covid-19 tests but instead of going for that, the accused found it easier to abandon their child and flee from the spot. Singh said that the repeatedly called the baby’s parents but they stopped responding.
