Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared on the microblogging site X the commendable achievement of Brinda Kashyap, a resident of Guwahati, who has gained international acclaim for her pioneering efforts in rhino conservation. Brinda Kashyap has been honored as the sole recipient from India by the International Coordinating Council of UNESCO's Man and Biosphere Programme. Her innovative research utilizes geospatial data to bolster rhino conservation initiatives in Manas National Park.

CM wrote on X, "Assam girl shines at the Global Arena! Brinda Kashyap, who hails from Guwahati, has been chosen as the sole awardee of the International Coordinating Council of UNESCO's Man and Biosphere Programme. She is among the 15 young scientists selected from 11 countries and is working on the issue of rhino conservation in Manas National Park using geospatial data.
