Prabhas' recent film, 'Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire,' has been panned for its erroneous representation of Tinsukia…

Digital Desk: How many people from Assam have watched Prabhas-starrer ‘Salaar’? if not, then you should see that Assam’s Tinsukia district gets mentioned in Salaar. With fans of Prabhas' upcoming film, 'Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire' growing in anticipation, a brief mention of Tinsukia, a town in Assam, in one of the film's sequences has piqued their interest even more in the country's northeastern region.

In the scenario, a gang is looking for Aadhya (one of the film's characters), a US resident who has travelled to India to bury her mother's ashes. The person who saves her transports her to a Tinsukia school run by a character named Amma, played by Easwari Rao.

Tinsukia is described in the scene as a lonely mining town near the Burmese border, with a neighbouring coal mine and a population of Telugu-speaking immigrants.

Tinsukia is an industrial district in Assam, notable for its open-cast coal mining in Margherita and Ledo and home to India's oldest oil refinery Digboi. Fans of the film, however, have expressed unhappiness with the depiction of Tinsukia as a village rather than a town.

It should be noted that the film was also criticised for its inaccurate portrayal of Tinsukia, a town in Assam. Fans of the film are upset that Tinsukia is portrayed as a village rather than a town.
