Employees from other industries, including coal, steel, oil, telecommunications, postal, income tax, copper, and insurance, are supposed to join the strike.

Digital Desk: The All India Bank Employees Association announces that all banks will participate in the nationwide strike called by the joint forum of central trade unions on Monday and Tuesday (March 28-29). Trade unions have called for a Bharat Bandh on Monday and Tuesday to protest against Central government policies affecting workers. Banks are joining the nationwide strike to oppose the central government's decision to privatize public sector banks, including the Banking Laws Amendment Bill 2021. In this regard, India's largest nationalized bank, the State Bank of India (SBI), has issued a notice. As per the notice, services may be hindered on March 28-28 due to the bank strike. Banks have also noted that employees who are about to retire and receive a pension will be unaffected if they join the protest. Following a meeting of the joint platform of central trade unions on March 22, 2022, the call for a nationwide strike was announced against the central government's "anti-worker, anti-farmer, anti-people, and anti-national policies." Employees from other industries, including coal, steel, oil, telecommunications, postal, income tax, copper, and insurance, are supposed to join the strike. Unions in the railways and defence sectors planned to mobilize to support the strike at hundreds of locations across the country
