The NCFFS-2022 also includes detailed suggestions for curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, and other areas.

Digital Desk: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to implement the National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage 2022 (NCFFS), which extends the current framework by one year. According to the official circular, those CBSE schools that currently provide foundational stage education to children between the ages of 3 - 8 will implement the new framework of a five-year programme from kindergarten through class two in the academic year 2023–24.

The NCERT has created the NCFFS 2022 following the National Education Policy 2020's directive to specify the competencies and learning objectives, as well as the general approaches that should direct teaching and learning at the foundational stage, CBSE circular stated.

The NCFFS-2022 also includes detailed suggestions for curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, and other areas. Schools that provide foundational or preparatory education are urged to follow these guidelines.

For implementation and to "clarify abstract concepts, reinforce learning, and make new ideas more accessible to practical teachers," the NCFFS contains examples and illustrations. Teachers should "look at these pictures and contextualise them according to the needs and settings of learners," as instructed by CBSE.
