Digital Desk: The Southern Angami Public Organization (SAPO) announced on Wednesday that it would extend the ongoing total bandh along the Nagaland-Manipur border indefinitely after the Manipur government failed to withdraw forces from the Kezoltsa area.
The bandh was extended from 1 a.m. on Monday to 12 p.m. on Wednesday within the southern Angami jurisdiction bordering Manipur.
The decision has been taken after the Manipur government failed to withdraw its armed personnel and permanent structures within 72 hours from the Kezoltsa area," SAYO informed.
During the indefinite bandh against the state of Manipur, paramilitary forces on duty, ambulances with patients, the press/media, Tenyimi Public Organization (TPO) executives and unit executives, and the TPO Board of Arbitrators (BoA) will be exempted on production of a valid document.

SAYO president Kevipodi Sophie and general secretary Swelul Pucho announced that the indefinite bandh would continue until the SAPO's demands were met.

On the floor of the current state Assembly session, the chief minister stated that the state government is working with neighbouring states to resolve border issues.
