DMRC further stated that despite services continuing as usual, trains are traversing all Metro bridges at a limited pace.

Digital Desk: Delhi Metro services have been impacted by the flood-like situation in the city after the route to Yamuna Bank metro station was closed due to an increase in Yamuna's water level.

On Twitter, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced that the Yamuna Bank station was inaccessible. A transfer point between Noida and Ghaziabad is located at this Blue Line station. The transfer facility is not impacted, according to the Metro authorities.

"Due to the escalating water levels of the Yamuna River, the approach road leading to Yamuna Bank Metro Station is currently inaccessible. Kindly plan your journey accordingly and consider alternate routes. However, interchange facility is available," DMRC tweeted.

DMRC further stated that despite services continuing as usual, trains are traversing all Metro bridges at a limited pace.

"As a precaution, trains are moving at a reduced speed of 30 kmph through all four of the Metro bridges over the Yamuna as a result of rising river levels. Every corridor will have regular services," it stated.

Because numerous major roads in the national capital are underwater, a greater impact on Metro services might potentially paralyse transportation because this has caused severe traffic bottlenecks on alternate routes.

As the Hathnikund barrage in Haryana continued to release water into the river, Yamuna's water level was 208.46 metres at 7 am today. Three metres above the danger line, the water level is now.

Three water treatment facilities have been closed, and the flood-like scenario has caused the closure of local schools.
