Office announced on Saturday that during a visit to Gujarat from October 9 to
11, followed by a visit to Madhya Pradesh on October 11, Prime Minister
Narendra Modi is slated to unveil development projects worth Rs 14,500 crore.
Gujarat will hold elections later this year.
The statement stated
that the PM will also designate Modhera in Mehsana as India's first hamlet to
be powered by solar energy 24 hours a day during the tour and will lay the
cornerstones for other projects there on Sunday. The project carries out Modi's
plan to solarize the town of Modhera, which is home to the Sun Temple. More
than 1,300 rooftop solar systems on residential and governmental buildings were
developed as part of the project, which also included the integration of a
battery energy storage system (BESS) with a ground-mounted solar power plant.
According to the
Gujarat government release, people will save 60% to 100% on their electricity
expenses with this scheme. "Use of solar energy has boosted citizen
prosperity. Power bills were formerly around Rs 1000 but are now nearly zero.
At no expense, solar panels have been installed on every conceivable home.
Jatanben Thakor, the sarpanch of Modhera, claims that in the event of excess
power, we also make more money.
The population of
Modhera hamlet in Becharaji Taluka is 6,373 according to the 2011 census.
He would introduce
several initiatives at Amod in Bharuch, Ahmedabad, and Jamnagar on Monday
before departing for Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain the following day.
The opening of Mahakal
Lok, which would offer contemporary amenities to visitors visiting the
Mahakaleshwar temple in Madhya Pradesh, will come after this.
The first phase of the
project, according to the statement, would assist improve the experience of
pilgrims visiting Mahakal Lok by giving them access to top-notch contemporary
amenities.
The project's overall
goal is to reduce congestion, with a focus on heritage structures that need to
be conserved and restored.
The temple precinct will nearly triple in size as a result of the redevelopment. According to the statement, the complete project will cost somewhere around Rs 850 crore. It stated that the temple's present annual foot traffic, which is about 1.5 crore, is anticipated to treble.
In addition, the Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation and lay the cornerstone for projects totaling more than Rs 8,000 crore in Amod, Bharuch, including the Bulk Drugs Park in Jambusar.
Over 60% of pharmaceutical imports during the fiscal year 2021–2022 were bulk pharmaceuticals. According to a release, the project will be crucial in securing import substitution and promoting India's independence.
