Digital Desk: The dates for JEE Main 2022 and the application forms are now available at jeemain.nta.nic.in. However, students have proposed the postponement of the examination. Students have demanded that the first session should be held in May 2022. According to the official notification, the JEE Main 2022 first session will be held from April 16 to April 21, 2022. The second session will be held from May 24 to May 29, 2022.  Soon after announcing official examination dates, aspirants have taken their social media platforms to share opinions. They have asked for four sessions.  Last year due to the pandemic, there were four sessions. However, this year the authorities have maintained the standard norms of two sessions. Students have claimed that two sessions will not be respective with offline exams and practicals. One of the JEE Main 2022 aspirants took to his Twitter and wrote, "JEE Main should conduct in three or four attempts. If not possible, conduct one in May and the second in July. For this advance should postpone." Another student wrote, "We dont have four attempts; give us two fair attempts with 30-40 gap in the conduct of both the examinations." For admissions in the academic session 2022-23, the JEE Main 2022 will be conducted in two sessions. Candidates can apply for the exam until 5 p.m. on March 31 and pay the exam fees online until 11.30 p.m. on the same day. There are two papers in the Joint Entrance Examination-Main (JEE-Main). The first paper is for admission to BE and B Tech undergraduate engineering programmes at NITs, IIITs, and other centrally financed technical institutions and institutions and universities, funded and recognised by participating state governments. It's also a qualifying exam for JEE (Advanced), used to get into IITs. In 2021, the exam was given four times to give students more flexibility and an opportunity to improve their grades. The first phase took place in February, with the second taking place in March.  The subsequent phases were supposed to start in April and May, but they were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic's second wave. The final two phases took place in August and September of last year. Also Read: Assam Government Extended “Disturbed Area” Status for Next Six Months
