A rare bacterial ailment called "leptospirosis" is frequently spread via rat urine.


Digital Desk: At least three instances of "Leptospirosis" have been reported in the Gohpur sub-division of the Biswanath district, which is at the centre of the state's ongoing battle with an outbreak of Japanese encephalitis.


Of which one patient reportedly passed away from an infection thought to be "Leptospirosis."


According to a source, the other two Leptospirosis patients are in stable condition, but the health department is taking precautions to stop the bacterial infection from spreading.


It's important to mention that "Leptospirosis" is a rare bacterial infection that is frequently transmitted through rat urine. Keeping up a healthy hygiene routine is the only method to avert this illness.


After a "Leptospirosis" outbreak in the area, the health department has been on high alert.
