The Mangaldai MP was given four SUMO tablets and a tetanus shot...

Digital Desk: Mangaldai MP Dilip Saikia was injured while apprehending one of the perpetrators who barged inside the new parliament building this morning during the winter session.

MP Saikia received first-aid treatment through the Central Government Health Scheme.

According to the prescription, the Mangaldai legislator was given four SUMO tablets and a tetanus shot.

Earlier today, two unidentified visitors breached security and jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the gallery. The authorities were compelled to suspend the House due to the unexpected admission, while security measures were swiftly deployed.

Meanwhile, Assam Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi expressed grave concern about the reported security breach in New Delhi's New Parliament building.

This follows the MP's observation of two young guys releasing foul-smelling yellow gas from canisters inside the Parliament gallery.

Shortly after that, MPs present at the new parliament building rushed to capture these men.

The Delhi Police detained two persons on Wednesday after they jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber during the Parliament's Winter Session.

According to the Delhi Police, the suspects were a man and a woman who were protesting outside the Parliament building with coloured smoke.

The incident occurred on the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack in the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will meet with Floor Leaders from various political parties at 4 p.m. today to discuss the security lapse.

On the contrary side, it has come to light that both of the accused were handed visitors' cards by BJP MP Pratap Simha.
