PM Modi continued his tirade against the Congress, claiming that the organization had become out of date and had "outsourced" its work.
Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Congress chief on Wednesday, calling the party an "outdated thought process" and taking aim at Mallikarjun Kharge for his '400 paar' remark at the BJP.
Referencing Kharge's remarks, PM Modi responded to the Motion of Thanks on the President's address in the Rajya Sabha by saying that the Congress leader "kept hitting 4s and 6s" after realizing there were no "umpires or commandos."
"I was wondering how Kharge got the freedom to speak so much. Then I realised that the two commandos who are usually here were not present...Kharge ji, after realising there were no umpires or commandos, kept hitting 4s and 6s," PM Modi said.
"That day, I was listening to him with a lot of interest and pleasure. He provided us with the entertainment we were lacking in the Lok Sabha," the prime minister continued.
In reference to the government's majority in the Lok Sabha, Kharge stated on Friday, "Aapka itna bahumat hai, pehle 330, 334 thi, ab toh '400 paar' ho raha hai (You have a majority of 330, 334 seats and 400 is being crossed now)."
PM Modi, who was present in the Rajya Sabha, laughed at the Congress president's gaffe. Kharge later backtracked and stated that the BJP won't even win 100 seats. "INDIA is strong," he had said.
On Wednesday, PM Modi stated, "Kharge ji has given '400 paar ashirvaad' to the BJP referring to this remark. I cannot be silenced by the opposition. When will Kharge have the opportunity to say that once more?"
