Saha travelled to Guwahati with Nadda on Monday and returned early on Tuesday to pay a visit to the hospital.

Digital Desk: A day after over 25 BJP members were hurt while travelling to Tripura to attend JP Nadda's party event, the chief minister, Dr. Manik Saha, requested police to take strong action against those responsible, regardless of their origins.

That such violence took place while our party chairman was in Tripura is disgusting. Similar events have also occurred in the past. Regardless of the criminal histories of the accused, we have previously requested that the police take strong action in this regard. Some of our activists were hurt in a car collision when leaving the event. After visiting the injured at the Govind Ballabh Panth (GBP) hospital in Agartala,  Saha told the medical staff that they had been instructed to take the necessary actions for their care.

Nadda spent his two days in the state meeting with ministers, legislators, and leaders of the committee and frontal wings. Before departing, he spoke at a public gathering in Khumulwung, the location of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) headquarters.

Saha travelled to Guwahati with Nadda on Monday and returned early on Tuesday to pay a visit to the hospital.

BJP spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty claimed, "A segment of people who claim that they have control over hills concocted a plan to disturb the BJP president's rally," in an indirect reference to Pradyot Kishore Debbarma's party.
