Hashtag ‘Boycott tandav’ started trending on Twitter after a section of twitter took offence over a particular scene in the web show wherein actor Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub plays a stager performer appearing in the garb of Lord Shiva and is heard saying, “Azaadi, what the…?”

The section of twitteraties thought the makers were attempting to “mock” and “target” the Hindu deity, even as they trended #BoycottTandav.
