After Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat sparked one controversial comment after another, another state MP takes the lead by sparking yet another controversial comment on women’s attire.
U.P’s Minister of State for Parliamentary Affair’s, Anand Swaroop Shukla has made a statement stating how Burqa is an ‘inhumane practice’ which Muslim women are made to follow. He gave examples of some foreign countries where wearing burqa has been banned and opinionated that the same practice should be followed in India as well.
“Burqa is an inhuman act committed to Muslim women and many Muslim countries have banned this. Like we have ensured abolishing Triple Talaq, this evil (burqa) should also be banned in the country,” he stated.
This comes after the minister raised his concerns on the volume of loudspeakers during ‘azaan’ at mosques. He claimed that the noise not only disturbs academic activities but also disturbs him personally when he practices yoga, meditates, worships or does any official work at his home.
“Namaaz is offered five times a day, and throughout the day many other messages and donation requests for the construction of the mosque are also aired loudly the entire day,” he said.
State Ministers in India are gradually becoming famous for sparking controversial comments, one after the other and focusing all their valuable energy on women’s attire in India.
