Dibrugarh: Assam is battling a sudden spike in the number of covid cases. With daily cases rising in an unprecedented manner, the government is forced to enforce curbs on the people to contain the spread of covid disease.

Amidst this the covid fear seems to just escalate more after the Indian double mutant was detected in few of the samples taken at the Dibrugarh Airport.

Taking to Twitter, the state health minister raised concerns over detection of Indian double mutant cases in Dibrugarh and urged everyone to be careful. "Recent samples from Dibrugarh Airport are positive for B.1.617 strain or the Indian double mutant (L452R and E484Q) strain of SARS-Cov-2. "
