"It is not Covid-19, but we humans are the real virus": Singer Jubin Nautiyal tweets about the 12 ye

Guwahati: Feeling anguished and shocked over the brutal murder of a 12 year old house help at Assam’s Raha by her employers, Bollywood playback singer Jubin Nautiyal took to Twitter to comment on the incident.

In his post, Nautiyal pondered if it is not the Covid-19 that is the virus on the earth right now, but “we humans.”

“Dear humanity, I was wondering if covid is the virus on earth or we are. #JusticeForSumilaRonghanpi,” Nautiyal tweeted.

Student bodies, tribal bodies have been continuously demanding Justice for the 12 year old Karbi girl who was burnt alive and allegedly raped before she was killed.

The protesters are also demanding the government’s intervention to mete our capital punishment for the perpetrators of such a heinous act.
