New Rules for 2026 Yatra

Temple committee have introduced several new guidelines for the 2026 pilgrimage. Registration has been made mandatory for all pilgrims, who must complete the process online, submit vehicle details, and undergo verification at each shrine. Pilgrims are also required to carry documents and obtain darshan slot tokens for a smoother experience.

Entry restrictions have been imposed at certain shrines, including Kedarnath, Badrinath, and Gangotri, where non-Hindus may need to meet specific conditions, while Yamunotri remains open to all visitors regardless of faith. Additionally, mobile phones and cameras have been strictly prohibited inside temple premises to preserve the sanctity of the pilgrimage.

The Char Dham Yatra offers not only a deeply spiritual experience but also a journey through some of India’s most breathtaking landscapes. Pilgrims planning to undertake the yatra this year are advised to prepare thoroughly and adhere to the new regulations.
