The city police are on high alert and performing regular patrols in all critical sections of the old city...

Digital Desk: As the city commemorates the 30th anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition on Tuesday, numerous schools and higher educational institutions have declared a holiday to commemorate the 'Black Day.'

The city police are on high alert and performing conspicuous patrols in all critical sections of the old city. Higher officials met with the SHOs and asked them to be especially vigilant in light of the country's current predicament.

The Wahadat e Islami organisation is holding a protest meeting at Eidgah Ujale Shah on Tuesday after Zohar prayers.

The police presence has been strengthened in Moghalpura Charminar, where officials expect a little demonstration.

Because entrepreneurs want to safeguard the safety of their property, shops and business institutions are likely to open only after noon prayers.

The police are on the lookout for troublemakers around the city.

Right-wing groups are being watched closely as they attempt to commemorate the day and engage in activities.
