Mishra stated that the government will think about what to do about the movie's screening in the state if such scenes in the song are not "changed."

Digital Desk: On Wednesday in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, activists protested the upcoming Bollywood movie Pathaan and its song Besharam Rang. The protest was held shortly after state minister Narottam Mishra demanded that the film be banned due to "objectionable scenes" and the use of saffron costumes.

Actors Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan's effigies were set on fire by Veer Shivaji Group activists who had congregated at a traffic light, according to PTI.

They also urged a ban on the movie, which was scheduled to be released in January of next year, claiming that the Besharam Rang song's content hurt the Hindu community.

Pathaan, one of the most anticipated movies of 2023, recently released its first single, Besharam Rang. And it quickly became a topic of conversation after Shah Rukh Khan's leading man Shah Rukh Padukone's clothing colour was criticised by Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra, who called for its "rectification."

According to Mishra, the government will think about what to do about the movie's screening in the state if such scenes in the song are not "changed."

Notably, Narottam Mishra threatened legal action against the Bollywood film Adipurush's producers in October if portions depicting Hindu holy icons in the "wrong" way were not cut. Adipurush is based on the epic Ramayana.
