At Balipara, a 36-kg Grass Carp was sold for ₹16,000, while Bokakhat markets displayed 35-kg Big Head fish alongside 10–15 kg Borali, Sitol, and different varieties. Dhamdhama  saw 35-kg Big Head fish on sale, and Gopal Bazaar in Nalbari had a 26-kg Big Head fish available. In Biswanath, daily markets offered 25-kg Bahu, 22-kg Pithia, and 15-kg Borali fish.


Lakhimpur’s Panigaon markets featured 16-kg Ari and 12-kg Borali, while Sitol and Borali ranged from ₹800 to ₹1,400 per kg. At Nagaon’s Borbazar, a 15-kg Sitol was on display, with prices in Morigaon ranging from ₹1,000 to ₹1,200 per kg.


The demand for large fish reflects the enthusiasm of locals preparing for traditional Uruka feasts.
