Digboi, Assam – The town of Digboi recently played host to the 35th Nepali Language Recognition Day, a significant annual event for the local Nepali-speaking community. The observance, held on Thursday, was marked by the notable unveiling of the "Madhyamik Nepali Shabdakosh," a new secondary-level Nepali dictionary.
The ceremonial launch took place at the auditorium of the revered Sri Sri Nepali Bishnu Mandir. This key cultural and literary programme was a collaborative effort, jointly organised by the Assam Nepali Sahitya Sabha and the Sri Sri Nepali Bishnu Mandir committee, drawing attendees from various segments of the community.
The introduction of the "Madhyamik Nepali Shabdakosh" is seen as a crucial step towards strengthening and promoting the Nepali language, particularly among younger generations.
