India's first practice match against England has already been washed out and if the weather forecast in Thiruvananthapuram is anything to go by, another washout isn't out of the picture.

After the first two games—South Africa vs. Afghanistan and Australia-Netherlands matches—were postponed, New Zealand defeated South Africa by 7 runs using the DLS method in the third game at the venue. For Team India's encounter on Tuesday, the situation does not seem to be too favourable.
The first practice match between India and England has already been cancelled, and another one is likely depend on the Thiruvananthapuram weather forecast. On Tuesday, October 3 during the day, there is a 97% chance of precipitation with a 43% chance of thunderstorms, according to AccuWeather. The prediction slightly improves throughout the day, but strangely, the probability of thunderstorms rises as long as there is cloud cover.
The peak and low temperatures are predicted to be about 30 and 25 degrees, respectively.
The only factor standing between a washout and a result is hope given the forecast was similar on Monday, October 2. And even though the rain had a significant impact, at least a result came even if through the DLS method.
Prior to playing Australia, a five-time champion, on Sunday, October 8 in Chennai, India will be hoping to get some practice in. Even though their warm-up match was cut down to a 23-over-per-side competition, the Dutch did receive some match practice, if only for a few overs, as the rain returned later.
