The following day, the woman called her relatives to tell them. None of them had any suspicions about her, and the police claim that the man was later cremated.

Digital Desk: In the Chandrapur district of Maharashtra, some 150 km south of Nagpur, a woman was arrested on suspicion of murder three months after the passing of her husband. After discovering an audio tape in which the woman appears to confess, the woman's daughter revealed the woman's involvement in what was once thought to be a heart attack death.

On August 6, according to the authorities, Ranjana Ramteke assassinated her husband, a retired government official, while he slept.

The woman called her lover soon after the murder and casually admitted to her involvement in the killing, according to the police, who used the audio of the call as evidence.
"I used a pillow to choke him. In the morning, I'll contact his loved ones to let them know he passed away. I'll just say he had a heart attack "According to the authorities, the woman said during the call.

The woman informed her family over the phone the next day. None of them had any suspicions about her, and the man was later cremated, according to the police.

For three months, Ranjana Ramteke's life went according to plan—that is, until her daughter, Shweta visited her.

According to reports, Shweta discovered the audio recording while using her mother's phone to make calls. She then informed the police about her.

"Shweta brought the audio tape to the police station. Ranjana and Mukesh Trivedi, who is her lover, are speaking on the audio tape. She describes how she killed her husband with a pillow and forced him to lie in that position during the phone call. Additionally, she is overheard stating that she will phone everyone the following morning to inform them that he had a heart attack "a top police officer told the press.

The police called Ranjana and Mukesh and presented them with the call recording after listening to the audio. Later, both of them admitted to the crime.
