Over 350 female fencers from all over India will compete in the four-day competition. More than 500 fencers will compete in the Men's Ranking Tournament, which will take place concurrently with the Women's League.

Digital Desk: At the Talkatora Indoor Stadium today, the First Khelo India Women's Fencing League & Ranking competition is taking place. Under the auspices of the Sports Authority of India and Khelo India, the Fencing Association of India is in charge of organising the competition. From July 25 to July 29, Delhi State Fencing Association will hold the competition. By developing a Ranking system for the National Championships, FAI is establishing a framework for fencing in the nation.

Over 350 female fencers from all over India will compete in the four-day competition. More than 500 fencers will compete in the Men's Ranking Tournament, which will take place concurrently with the Women's League. The competition will be held in the Epee, Foil, and Sabre disciplines in the Cadet, Junior, and Senior categories.

At the event's opening, Shri. Rajeev Mehta, President of the Fencing Association of India, asserted: "This is the first time that the National Championships will have a ranking structure, and we will be holding ranking events in three phases. Due to their impressive performances in international competitions, we are determined to encourage and promote women in fencing.

There are 18 medal events in the competition, and the winners of the gold medal will receive Rs. 50,000, the silver medal winners Rs. 40,000, and the bronze medal winners Rs. 30,000. Each of the fifth through eighth places will also receive Rs. 10,000 in prize money.
