Digital Desk: Two teenage girls from Margheita have been missing since September 1, sparking widespread concerns among locals and their families.


The missing girls have been identified as Ayesha Khatun, a resident of Lazum under Margherita police station, and Shobha Das, a resident of Balukhat, Margherita.


Shobha Das had been working as a domestic help at a house in Lazum. On September 1, both teenagers left Lazum towards Shobha Das' residence around 1 PM. Since then, they have been untraceable.


Despite extensive searches by their families in various locations, no clues have been found.


The families have filed a complaint regarding the disappearance of the girls at Margherita police station; however, no leads have emerged so far.


The families now urge the public to assist and provide information by contacting the nearest police station or dialing the phone number. 8011762484.


The frequent cases of missing women and teenage girls from Margherita and across the Tinsukia district have often made headlines, triggering serious concerns among residents. 


According to concerned citizens in Margherita, these young women may have fallen prey to unscrupulous groups operating in the area.


Consequently, the incident has sparked widespread alarm in the region, with demands for swift action from the administration.
