Chandigarh: As several states enter into a severe situation of acute oxygen supply as covid cases continue to rise, thieves broke into Jind’s PP Centre General Hospital storeroom in Haryana and stole nearly 1,710 doses of Covaxin and Covishield vaccines. The district is left with no vaccines at the moment.

Other medicines and cash in the storeroom were left untouched. The accused had their target fixed on the corona vaccines. The police have registered a case against unidentified persons.

The hospital administration had neither installed a CCTV camera near the storeroom nor had deployed a guard to prevent vaccine left.
