Lucknow: In a horrific accident reported in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki area late Tuesday night, as many as 18 people died on the spot after a truck rammed into a stationary bus.
As per ANI reports, 19 others have sustained critical injuries and have been hospitalized.
The double decker Volvo bus was en-route to Bihar from Haryana and was parked on the side of the road for repair, when a truck in high speed rammed into the parked bus resulting in many casualties.
As per police reports, there were 140 passengers inside the bus during the incident. Rescue operation was carried out by the police and fire tender personnel to extract the passengers and deceased from the bus.
