Aaj Tak predicts the BJP will win 69-91 wards, while Times Now predicts the BJP will win 84-94 wards. According to the News X-Jan Ki Baat exit poll, the AAP has 159-175 wards and the BJP has 70-92.

Digital Desk: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is likely to get 155 of the 250 wards in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) election, according to NDTV's poll of exit polls.

According to an exit poll conducted by Aaj Tak-Axis My India, the AAP may win 149-171 wards. Another exit poll by Times Now-ETG showed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's party winning between 146 and 156 wards.

A word of caution: exit polls frequently get it wrong.

Aaj Tak predicts the BJP will win 69-91 wards, while Times Now predicts the BJP will win 84-94 wards. According to the News X-Jan Ki Baat exit poll, the AAP has 159-175 wards and the BJP has 70-92.

Exit polls from all three channels show the Congress winning 10 or fewer wards.

According to the three exit polls, others would win 5-9 seats.

If the exit polls are true, the AAP's performance would be a major defeat for the BJP, which has controlled the MCD for the past 15 years.

Mr. Kejriwal's campaign pitch that the AAP would root out corruption in the MCD appears to have been effective.

If the exit polls are correct, Mr Kejriwal's party will have performed admirably despite the BJP deploying its top officials to Delhi for the MCD election campaign.

The BJP's approach of linking the Delhi local election to national issues and bringing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "development for all" message to Delhi residents' doorsteps has failed to halt the AAP's ascent.

Mr Kejriwal's party is anticipated to have a smooth run in carrying out fundamental urban projects now that it controls both the Delhi government and the municipal council.

Previously, the MCD was divided into three zones: north, south, and east. Before the election, the three were consolidated into a single entity.
