Digital Desk: The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has officially released the Higher Secondary (HS) 2026 examination results today for all Science, Arts, and Commerce streams.


Top performing districts:

Arts Stream: Baksa, Darrang, and Lakhimpur.

Science Stream: Tamulpur, West Karbi Anglong, and Baksa.

Commerce Stream: Majuli and South Salmara-Mankachar, Tamulpur, and Bajali.


Girls outperformed boys across all academic streams, maintaining a higher pass percentage in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational Studies.


In the Arts stream, 81.96% of the 1,41,534 female candidates passed, notably higher than the 76.10% pass rate recorded by the 99,589 male candidates.


The Science stream mirrored this success, with 90.80% of 26,474 girls passing, while 89% of the 34,193 boys cleared the exam.


In the Commerce stream, female students achieved a pass rate of 82.67 (5,945 students), outperforming the 80.45% recorded by the 13,524 male candidates.


Similarly, in the vocational stream, the pass percentage for girls stood at 76.74%, higher than 72.42% achieved for boys, with a total of 1,465 candidates appearing in this stream.


This year, a total of 3,22,725 students appeared for the exams across the state, with 2,63,155 students successfully passing.


The overall pass percentage for the HS Final Exam stands at 81.54%.


The stream-wise performance breakdown is as follows:

Arts- 79.54%

Science- 89.79%

Commerce- 81.13%

Vocational Stream: 74.19%
