Constructed using state-of-the-art technology, the park will be officially inaugurated by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on March 3.
This initiative aims to enhance the visitor experience while providing economic and cultural benefits to the local community.
On Wednesday, Bokakhat MLA and Agriculture Minister Atul Bora, accompanied by the sub-divisional commissioner and other departmental officials, visited the newly constructed park to ensure its readiness for the grand opening.
Situated along the scenic banks of the Kohora River and developed at a cost of approximately Rs 17 crore, the park is designed to meet international standards.
It boasts a vibrant collection of orchid species, along with facilities to enjoy local cuisine, traditional handwoven textiles, and cultural programs.
Minister Atul Bora also announced that on the same day, the Chief Minister will inaugurate several other development projects in the Bokakhat constituency.
These include a pet animal hospital in Sapjuri under Kaziranga mouza, a new guest house for the police department in Kohora, and newly constructed buildings for multiple schools.
The orchid park is expected to become a significant attraction, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore the rich biodiversity of orchids while celebrating Assam's rich culture and heritage.
