Digital Desk: The National Law University and Judicial Academy (NLUJA), situated in Assam, is the latest law school in India to implement a menstrual leave policy for female students studying on campus.
As per the policy, female students have the option to apply for menstruation leave. The medical leave standards, which mandate that students maintain a minimum attendance of 65%, shall be followed in granting the leaves.
The program, which recognizes the special requirements and difficulties that female students may experience during menstruation, intends to assist the health and well-being of female students, according to a press release from the Student Bar Council of NLUJA.
NLUJA is dedicated to promoting an inclusive and encouraging academic atmosphere, according to the statement.
Menstruation leave policies for students on campus have been introduced by NLUJA, NALSAR, Hyderabad, and Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur.
