Digital Desk: On Thursday, officials from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), including President Roger Binny and Secretary Jay Shah, met in New Delhi to discuss planning for the 2017 ODI World Cup in India. The event will begin on October 5 and will conclude on November 19 in Ahmedabad. 


According to sources, Shah has also invited members of the ten hosting venues to the conference. The main topic of debate, though, will be the postponement of the India-Pakistan match.


Due to the first day of Navaratri, the blockbuster match slated for October 15 in Ahmedabad may be moved to October 14.


According to reports, security agencies have asked the BCCI to reschedule the match for October 14 because October 15 is the first day of 'Navratri'.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) published the schedule for the ODI World Cup last month.


At the Narendra Modi Stadium in October, defending champions England will face New Zealand, the tournament's runners-up from the previous season.


A total of 48 matches will be played over ten sites, with the final scheduled for November 19.


India's first World Cup match is against Australia on October 8, while Pakistan's first two games are set for October 6 and October 12.
