Maxar Technologies' satellite photographs show the devastation caused by Pakistan's deadly floods...

Digital Desk: Pakistan is struggling with severe floods, which have displaced over 33 million people in the nation. People's daily lives in the country have been impacted by the relentless rain since mid-June. Hundreds of villages in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa region have been cut off by flood-swollen rivers that have washed away roads and bridges.

Maxar Technologies' satellite photographs show the devastation caused by Pakistan's deadly floods.

The country-wide death toll has touched 1,136 as of Monday, with over 1,634 injured, according to the latest data issued by the National Disaster Management Authority, the chief national body tasked to deal with calamities.

It stated that around 992,871 houses were completely or partially destroyed, leaving millions without food, clean drinking water, or shelter.

The United Nations and the cash-strapped Pakistani government have joined forces to launch a quick appeal for USD 160 million to address the disaster that has become the "ground zero" of global warming.
