In its complaint, PETA stated that some minor boys brutally treated dogs and killed half a dozen of them in the Jamia Nagar area of the national capital.

In response to the complaint, police officers stated that they had received a report from PETA alleging that some minors in Delhi's Jamia region were violently torturing dogs and killing half a dozen of them.

According to ANI, police stated, "There is only one male child who has been identified." On the spot, no dog carcass was discovered. The process to apprehend CCL u/s 429 IPC has started because the miscreant is a minor. " (sic)

Following PETA's complaint, police claimed they had initiated an inquiry, but no FIR had been filed.

Two complaints were received regarding the killing of stray dogs at the Joga Bai Jhuggi neighborhood in Jamia Nagar from Divya, a member of the Karan Puri organization, and Bhargeswar Doley of PETA India. The complainant and police identified the concerned jhuggi at Joga Bai after receiving the complaint.

One minor boy aged 10 to 12 years has been identified by police, although he was not present at the time of inspection at Jhuggi. There was no dog carcass found on the scene, and no eyewitness came forward to give testimony.

It may be mentioned that the complainant had provided a photo and video of a dead dog, but the location could not be identified from the video. Moreover, no one is seen killing the dog in the video clip.

Notably, the complainant has been asked for more videos to identify the place and accused persons involved in the incident.
