This strategic move, a part of the Commission's routine evaluation, was decided during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Election Commissioner Shri Rajiv Kumar, alongside Election Commissioners Shri Gyanesh Kumar and Shri Sukhbir Singh Sandhu.

The officials transferred are as follows:

1. Assam: Udalgiri's DM

2. Bihar: Bhojpur and Nawada's DMs and SPs

3. Jharkhand: Deoghar's SP, with directives to fill vacancies in various roles

4. Odisha: Cuttack & Jagatsinghpur's DMs, and SPs in Angul, Behrampur, Khurda, Rourkela, as well as DCP Cuttack & IG Central

5. Andhra Pradesh: Krishna, Ananthpuramu, and Tirupati's DMs, along with SPs in Prakasham, Palnadu, Chittoor, Ananthpuramu, Nellore districts, and IGP Guntur Range
