Digital Desk: England won their second World Cup with Ben Stoke's maiden fifty against Pakistan in the finale. On Sunday, England became the first team in men's white-ball history to simultaneously hold T20 and ODI world titles with two performances from Ben Stokes, Sam Curran, and Adil Rashid.

Stokes remained unbroken at 52 to lead England to a five-wicket victory despite some terrifying fast bowling from Pakistan bowlers. This was Stokes' first-ever half-century in T20I cricket. England, which was chasing 138, was startled early when they lost both of their openers and Philip Salt during the Powerplay.

Pakistan put up a valiant effort but unfortunately fell short because of Shaheen Afridi's injury, which prevented him from bowling his required number of overs. In 19 Overs, England successfully defended 138. This came when Jos Buttler decided to bowl first and his bowlers supported the decision by putting up a coordinated performance. Curran continued his stellar performance with the ball in the event, taking 3/12 from four overs.

Adil Rashid was as frugal as ever with 2/22, and Chris Jordan was commendable with 2/27. With 38 off 28, Shan Masood led Pakistan in scoring as they failed to form a significant partnership as a result of frequent English attacks.
