Digital Desk: Nikhat Zareen, the incumbent world champion, and Olympic bronze medalist Lovlina Borgohain both won in the selection trials here on Saturday, ensuring their places in the Indian team for the Commonwealth Games.

While Nikhat, a two-time Strandja Memorial gold medalist, blanked Haryana's Minakshi 7-0 in a unanimous decision, Lovlina defeated Railways Pooja by the same score.

Nitu (48kg) and Jasmine (60kg) were also on the qualifying list for the quadrennial event.

Nikhat seemed to be in possession during her fight, hitting solid blows while twirling around the ring.
