The boy's uncle reportedly filed a complaint with the police, and as a result, a first information report was made against the teacher on Saturday.

Digital Desk: A day after a nine-year-old Dalit kid died allegedly as a result of teacher abuse for touching a water pot in a private school, protests broke out in Rajasthan's Jalore district, according to police.

According to Jalore superintendent of police Harsh Vardhan Agarwalla, the teacher, Chail Singh, 40, has been detained and charged with murder under parts of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.

According to the SP, Indra Meghwal, a student at the private school Saraswati Vidhya Mandir in Surana village, was severely beaten on July 20. The reason given by the boy's family in their complaint- touching a drinking water pot, is currently under investigation.

A senior police officer reported that the youngster passed away from his injuries on Saturday at a hospital in Ahmedabad.

According to a senior police officer, on Sunday, officers used restraint to disperse demonstrators who had been throwing stones at authorities and refusing to allow the body to be cremated unless their demands for a government position and money for the boy's family were satisfied.

Ashok Gehlot, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, promised justice for the boy's family and announced a 5 lakh ex gratia payment to the kin of the deceased.

"It is unfortunate that a child died as a result of a teacher being beaten at a private school near the Saila police station in Jalore. According to Gehlot's Hindi-language tweet, the accused teacher has been detained and a case has been filed against him for murder and violations of the SC/ST Act.

In order to expedite the investigation and the sentencing of the offender, the matter has been placed under the case officer plan. The victim's family will receive justice as soon as possible, he promised. The Chief Minister's relief fund would provide a 5 lakh rupee relief payment to the deceased's family members.

The boy's uncle reportedly filed a complaint with the police, and as a result, a first information report was made against the teacher on Saturday.

The youngster's family claimed in their complaint that the teacher's abuse left the boy with bruises to his face and ear and nearly rendered him unconscious.

The boy was brought to the district hospital, where he was later sent to an Udaipur hospital. He was kept in the Udaipur hospital for nearly a week, but when he showed no signs of improvement, we brought him to Ahmedabad. But even there, his condition did not get better, and on Saturday he passed away, the boy's father, Devaram Meghwal, informed reporters.

The state department of education has launched a probe into the incident, and the chairman of the Rajasthan SC Commission, Khiladi Lal Bairwa, directed that it be handled under the case officer's scheme for quick investigation.

A senior police officer claimed that although the family was prepared to cremate the body, activists from the Dalit organisation were making unreasonable demands. This was in response to the protest being held by the child's relatives and a Dalit rights organisation. "The CM has already made a 5 lakh compensation announcement.

Additionally, when a case is filed under Section 302 of the IPC, 8.25 lakh compensation is offered under the SC/ST Act, according to a senior police officer who asked to remain anonymous. However, when the administration was coming to a decision, some locals and activists attempted to remove the body from the house without the family's permission. Then, the cops used minimal force to scatter them.

The situation is under control, according to district collector Nishant Jain, and no force was applied. "The protesters were simply driven back... The body is being burned after an agreement with the family members, he said. "Money of Rs. 5 lakh has been announced by the CM and half the amount (under SC/ST Act), i.e., about Rs. 4 lakh, has been provided to the family and the remaining amount would be granted after the challan."

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) urged action against the private school's owner on Sunday and claimed that when the state administration and chief minister are weak, situations like this tend to occur.

"Over the past three and a half years, several Dalit atrocities have taken place. When the state government and chief minister are ineffective, this occurs. As soon as possible, the guilty must be punished, BJP state president Satish Poonia said reporters.

Such tragic occurrence makes us consider our positions as the nation marks its 75th year of independence. For us, society is most important because it is made up of peace and oneness.

Ramlal Sharma, a BJP lawmaker, suggested that recognition of the institution be revoked in order to preserve discipline. In order to keep discipline in schools, he suggested that action be taken against the school's owner and that the school's recognition be revoked.
