Digital Desk: A 35-year-old man who was proclaimed dead by medics at a hospital in Gujarat's Vadodara during the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 has returned home alive two years later. Kamlesh Patidar (35), the man, is from Madhya Pradesh's Dhar area. He was deemed 'dead' owing to the coronavirus, and his body was not returned to his family, who had also conducted his final rituals.

Family members are in shock

However, Kamlesh's return home after two years has taken everyone by surprise. According to a family member, he surprised them on Saturday when he knocked on the door of his maternal aunt's house in Karodkala village at around 6 a.m.

Kamlesh Patidar became ill during the second wave of COVID-19. He was admitted to the hospital, and physicians later proclaimed him dead. His family members performed his death rituals after the hospital handed them the "body," his cousin Mukesh Patidar told reporters on Saturday. "He has now returned home, but he has not revealed where he stayed during this time," the relative explained.

In charge of Kanwan police station "According to family members, Kamlesh Patidar suffered from a coronavirus infection in 2021 and was admitted to a hospital in Vadodara (Gujarat)," Ram Singh Rathore stated. The physicians proclaimed him dead due to COVID-19 infection, and his family members returned to their village after performing the final rites of the body provided by the hospital in Vadodara." Rathore stated that when he returned home on Saturday, his family members discovered that he was alive. The official stated that the situation would be resolved after recording Kamlesh Patidar's statement.
