Yet another sad news of a girl's death due to extreme carelessness while clicking a selfie came to light from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. According to the incident report, some IIT students went for an outing near the Ganga river. They clicked pictures on a river dam on the Ganga river.

While the students got busy taking selfies suddenly a student's leg slipped and she fell into the Ganga river. Her friends immediately reported to the police about the accident. Police and divers rushed to the spot. The student was rescued from the river and sent to the hospital immediately after an hour-long search and rescue operation.

The doctor examined and declared the student brought dead to the hospital. The autopsy also proved that the girl's death was caused by drowning in the water. The 20-year-old was a resident of Rajasthan. Her name was Sejal Jain. She came to the IIT hostel in September. Sejal Jain was a second-year IIT Kanpur student.
