  • Bengali language banners displayed at the fair sparked controversy
  • A number of youths gathered in front of the dealer and demanded the owner to address the issue

Digital Desk: The mega loan fair organised by TVS at Moran stirred tensions in the city last night due to banners being displayed in the Bengali language rather than the Assamese language.

A group of local youths confronted the owner of Khan TVS, a prominent two-wheeler dealership in Moran, demanding clarification on the matter.

The use of Bengali on the banners triggered widespread agitation and condemnation among the locals.

A significant number of youths gathered in front of the dealer and demanded the owner to address the issue.

Initially, the owner tried to shift the blame to the TVS company, claiming innocence in the matter.

However, later, they folded their hands in front of the assembled youths and apologised. The youths warned against the recurrence of such incidents in the future.

Additionally, the local residents demanded that the higher authorities of the TVS company must visit to apologise to the people of Moran within 24 hours.

Otherwise, the youths threatened to shut down TVS's business operations in the area.
