Digital Desk: Wild elephants descending from the Amchang Wildlife Sanctuary caused significant damages to two resorts located near the Khambranga wetland in Thakurkuchi, Chandrapur. Apart from the resorts, the herd also damaged a dumper truck travelling along the road.

The owner of one of the resorts, named "Tholuwa Khadyar Griha," Dip Bongjang, narrowly escaped harm.

According to reports, a herd of 40-50 wild elephants came down from the Amchang Wildlife Sanctuary at night in search of food, creating havoc at the two resorts.

Initially, the herd surrounded the "Tholuwa Khadyar Griha" resort. At the time, Dip Bongjang was asleep inside the resort.

The elephants broke the grills and caused extensive damage to the structure. Hearing Dip's cries for help, local residents rushed to the scene, drove away the elephants, and rescued him.

Later, the herd attacked a dumper truck on the road, shattering its glass. Subsequently, they moved to another resort named "Rock Valley," where they broke through two concrete walls and destroyed a refrigerator.

It is noteworthy that wild elephant herds frequently descend from the Amchang Wildlife Sanctuary in search of food, creating panic and unrest in the area.
