Digital Desk: The Chief Minister Of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma declared that each flood-affected family residing in relief camps and finding shelter on railroad tracks, dykes, and roadways will receive Rs 3,800 from the State government by July 5 so they may buy clothes, kitchenware, and other necessities before returning to their homes.

Before July 15, the government has requested that all deputy commissioners must provide necessary details and photos of any damaged homes.

In a virtual conference with all deputy commissioners and ministers in charge, today, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma demanded that they finish all forms of compensation before August 15, after which the Government will not entertain any requests for compensation. After August 15, the Chief Minister stated, "We will move our priority to reconstruction of roads, bridges, embankments, and other infrastructure."
